Easter, Passover Overlap Leads to Interfaith Dialogue
“Holy Week is a reminder of our religious roots that what we are about here is exploring the convergence is living faith and service,” said Rev. Kevin O’Brien, S.J., executive director of Georgetown’s Campus Ministry. “For Christians, Holy Week is a time that we encounter the reality of human suffering and the victory that God inhabits over it – the death and resurrection of Christ.”
The week comes after the 40-day period of Lent, which O’Brien says is “a time of preparation for Christians to in a sense get back to basics” in terms of their faith and relationships with others.
